Hints are given below when you expand the boxes.

Spoiler: Hint 1 (the altar and the FIRST gate) 
This level introduces a new entity, the Altar. Its first line of dialogue is "Feed me." What happens if you feed it something?
Spoiler: Hint 2 
Feeding Emm to it doesn't seem to be helpful, although it IS lethal. What else is there?
Spoiler: Hint 3 
The F is set up so you can push it directly into the Altar.
Spoiler: Hint 4 
When the Altar eats a block, it breaks all identical blocks in the level, respawning them at their nearest blockpad as if you'd smashed them. Push the F east into the Altar now, and observe how both the F you pushed and the F of FIRST get taken to the blockpad. Understanding this will be the key to solving the level.
Spoiler: Hint 5 (the SECOND gate) 
Progress north to find another letter gate reading SECOND, and two inaccessible stacks of SECOND blocks. Your job will be to use the Altar to open this gate. How can you do that?
Spoiler: Hint 6 
You now have access to a C block and an X block. Feeding the C to the Altar would open the gate...
Spoiler: Hint 7 
If you try to push the C block into the Altar now, you won't manage it. You need to stop the C in the centre of that sunken bit of floor, directly north of the Altar, so you can push the C south into the Altar. What can help with that?
Spoiler: Hint 8 
You know what IS directly north of the Altar? The X blockpad.
Spoiler: Hint 9 
Smash the X to respawn it on the pad, and push it south into the Altar. Now you have three X blocks to use! How can you use them?
Spoiler: Hint 10 
You have three X blocks. You need to stop the C in the centre of the pit, three tiles away from the east and west walls...
Spoiler: Hint 11 
What will it look like when you push the C off its blockpad? You'll probably push it south into the central pillar, then east or west, then south so it hits the wall in which the FIRST gate is... so after that, where do the X blocks need to be to let you get the C in line with the Altar?
Spoiler: Hint 12 
You want all three X blocks laid out east-to-west in either the southeast or southwest corner of this sunken bit of floor. Start by pushing one of the Xs off the blockpad east or west (remember, the stairs can act as obstacles for blocks), then south, then east or west into the corner. Now line up the other X blocks next to it. Now you can feed the C to the altar and beat the level! (There's a diagram of this in the next hint if you need it.)
Spoiler: Hint 13 (full solution) 
By building the Xs up against the wall, you can buffer enough space to feed the C to the altar

Push the F east into the Altar. Go north, smash the X and push it south from its blockpad to spawn three Xs on the pad. Push one X east, south and east. Push another X east and south. Push the third X west, south and east (ending up with XXX in the southeast corner of the sunken floor, immediately northeast of the open FIRST gate). Push the C south, west, south, east (so it collides with the XXX) and south into the Altar to open the SECOND gate to the exit.

Present solution

Spoiler: Hint 1 (present location) 
Although not visible, the altar song tells you the present is behind the THIRD door. Solve the level as normal above to open the FIRST and SECOND gates.
Spoiler: Hint 2 
Try to repeat the process you did with the F and C letters with the D.
Spoiler: Hint 3 
If you try to get the D near the D blockpad south of the exit, you'll find it keeps rebirthing in the NW corner. Do you understand why?
Spoiler: Hint 4 
Blocks will prefer to rebirth on blockpads at the same elevation as them, even if there's another blockpad closer. So you need to get the D into the central pit.
Spoiler: Hint 5 
There's a C blockpad in the NE corner of the central pit. It must be there for a reason.
Spoiler: Hint 6 
Look at how the pillars in the room are laid out (standing on the View square may help). If you could somehow push the D against the east, south, west, it would land in the pit. But you need a 1 block buffer against the east wall.

Spoiler: Hint 7 
You have 3 C blocks to work with but the pit is 3 blocks deep.
Spoiler: Hint 8 
You need to make a column of 4 blocks tall on the C blockpad. How could you do that?
Spoiler: Hint 9 
Don't forget about your other blocks. You need to get an X to the northern C blockpad, then rebirth three more C blocks on top. That way, if you push the D north, east, it gets buffered by one of the C blocks. But the X blocks are in a pit of their own.
Spoiler: Hint 10 
You need to get one of the X's out of the pit. Look at the pillars in the other room. Can you use a similar process to get an X out?
Spoiler: Hint 11 (full solution, mostly) 
Shove an X onto the northern C blockpad, rebirth all the Cs up there...
...and then push the D around and smash it to get it on the lower levels. Now you can feed it to the altar in the same way as the C.

Stack 3 X blocks up on the X blockpad by smashing them. (Assuming the three C blocks are still on their blockpad, if not also smash those to reset.). Push one of the C blocks west, south, east using the pillars as backstops. The east push should catch an X and take it along for the ride. Push the X east, north, west, (push the C blocks out of the way temporarily), north, east, north to land on the C blockpad in the north room. Push the C blocks along the same path until they are close enough to the C blockpad that you can smash them. You should now have a stack of CCCX with X on the bottom. Push the D north, east (using C as a buffer against the east wall), smash the C out of the way then continue pushing D south, east. Smash it to rebirth directly south of the present and push south. Follow the same procedure as you did for the C originally (see hints 11-13 in normal solution above) to get D to the altar. Enjoy your "present" behind the THIRD door.

Once you've opened the THIRD door, you get another song and a destroyed present. That can't be the end can it?

Where did all the D blocks come from when you fed the D to the altar?
Spoiler: Hint 14 (final step) 
Jump down the hole where the D in THIRD used to be, just north of the exit. Follow a hidden path around to the real present.
