Hints are given below when you expand the boxes.

Spoiler: Hint 1 (what to do) 
This level is an obstacle course featuring Beards and spokes. There's no big trick to the whole level. Just keep making your way past the Beards and following the path.
Spoiler: Hint 2 
Notice that at the start of the level, Beard #1 dies and respawns at an egg below the player's egg. This shows you that Beards won't respawn within the playing area if they die. If you're having trouble, try luring the Beards into spikes to get them out of your hair.
Spoiler: Hint 3 (Beards #1 and #2) 
Beard #1 will take care of himself, and you can't get to where he came from because you can't push the L-shaped spokes from where you are. So focus on getting north past Beard #2.
Spoiler: Hint 4 
You want to rotate the west-east spokes without the Beard being in the way and jamming it. So you want to get the Beard away from the spoke, and then get to the spoke faster than him and rotate it before he catches up.
Spoiler: Hint 5 
This is a variation on a Beard puzzle you've done a few times before (in Lesser Pit, for example). The same principle applies here.
Spoiler: Hint 6 
You need to fling to outpace Beard #2 at some point. Lure him out of the way to make some space, then fling, run back to the spokes and rotate them before he can get in the way.
Spoiler: Hint 7 
Lure the Beard away, fling past him, and run to the spokes before he can catch up

Walk as far east as you can so that the Beard is in a shallow dead-end north of you. When you fling west, you should have enough space to run back and push the spokes clockwise. (As a bonus, Beard #2 will be stuck on the east side of the spokes, and will still be unable to reach you.)

Spoiler: Hint 8 (Beard #3) 
Beard #3 is tucked into a dead-end waiting to ambush you, and Beard #4 is jamming the spokes north of him, making it difficult to run past #3. Lure #3 out of his hiding spot and find somewhere to trap or dispose of him before you take on #4.
Spoiler: Hint 9 
There are two axles with north-south-oriented spokes west of where Beard #3 is hiding. This may be a good place to lose him.
Spoiler: Hint 10 
In fact, there's a set of spikes near the west axle. If you can lure the Beard onto the spikes, you won't have to worry about him anymore. How can you arrange that?
Spoiler: Hint 11 
You just saw how you can arrange for Beard #3 to walk onto the spikes. Beard #2 demonstrated the perfect setup.
Spoiler: Hint 12 
Tease the third Beard out of his hiding spot, then quickly run to the western spokes, hide under them, and let the Beard run into the spikes

You are aiming to have the spokes on the western axle here arranged west-east, with you south of the spokes and Beard #3 north of the spokes. Then you can walk west and have Beard #3 follow you along the north of the axle until he hits the spikes, like how Beard #2 followed your movements. (Again, you'll need to fling to make some distance between you and the pursuing Beard.)

Spoiler: Hint 13 (Beard #4) 
With Beard #3 out of the way, you have more room to deal with the final Beard, blocking your way past another set of west-east spokes. But he should be no problem.
Spoiler: Hint 14 
Dealing with Beard #4 is very much like dealing with Beard #2.
Spoiler: Hint 15 
Just lure him to one end of the spokes, fling to the other side and rotate them to trap him on the opposite side to you. Of course, now you have those spokes pointing north-south, jamming up the other spokes north of those that you have to rotate to keep following the road...
Spoiler: Hint 16 
Keep the Beard a little distance away from the axle, so you can easily fling past and rotate the spokes around him before he can react

So just repeat the trick! Lure Beard #4 south, fling north, rotate the spokes again. Now he should be stuck south of you and you should be able to rotate the northern axle's spokes to follow the road north and west. You now have a path to the exit! (You should have spotted it in the central building through the big windows by now - keep following the road and circling the building until you find a little flight of steps past a single grass square, and climb those steps to get inside the building.)

Spoiler: Hint 17 (full solution) 
Follow the path north and east until you come to some west-east-oriented spokes with a Beard north of them. Lure that Beard as far east as possible, walk into the northeast corner south of the Beard, then fling west, walk east four squares, and rotate the spokes clockwise so that the Beard is trapped on the east side of them. (See Hint 7 for a diagram.)

Cross the grass and continue following the path north and east until a Beard comes out of a dead-end to chase you. Fling south and west to bump into the nearby north-south spokes while making some distance between you and the Beard. Push these spokes counter-clockwise, go west to the next set of spokes, and rotate them clockwise so you're south of them and the pursing Beard is north. Walk west and lure the Beard into the spikes north of the spokes north of you. (See Hint 12 for a diagram.)

Return to where that Beard was hiding, where another Beard is waiting on the north side of some spokes. Lure this final Beard as far east as you can, then fling west and rotate the spokes to trap him on the east. Lure him south, fling north and push the spokes to trap him on the south. You can now rotate the other spokes north of you (see Hint 16 for a diagram of the setup) and follow the path west. Climb the small flight of stairs when you see it, enter the central building and walk to the exit.


Present solution

Spoiler: Hint 1 (present location) 
The present is on the west side of the level, enclosed in glass. You need to be near the exit to find it, it's not hard to see.
Spoiler: Hint 2 
There's a WAVE word to the SW and some WAVE gates north of that. What do you suppose will happen when you destroy the gates?
Spoiler: Hint 3 
Destroy the WAVE word to open the WAVE gate and beards will start advancing towards you. You can try destroying them with the various spike axles but they will keep reappearing.
Spoiler: Hint 4 
The Beards behind the WAVE gate should be lured here, where Beard #1 died. Bring them into the spikes to rebirth them out of your way
These spiked spokes will only rebirth the Beards back in the WAVE corridor, but if you don't have enough room to get around the Beards to lure them away, you can use these spikes to buy a little time while you get ready

The beards will rebirth at whichever blank egg is closest (either the one down in the pit or the one you may not have seen in the NW corner. If you want them permanently gone, lure the beards towards the SE and kill them the way you did with the first few beards. The way to the present is now clear. (You don't have to kill all of them, with some careful flinging it should be possible to get around them.

There are 1 achievements available for this level:
  • Beard Genius: Solve a Beard's puzzle for him.
Spoiler: Hint 1 
The second beard wants to get on the south side of the axle to kill you. If you trap him on the south side, he'll be confused and want back north.
Spoiler: Hint 2 
You can try luring him back and forth accross the spokes for more dialog but it doesn't accomplish a whole lot. You are always on the opposite side from the beard.
Spoiler: Hint 3 
Trap him on the south side and then kill yourself, so you are reborn on the southside with the beard. He solved the puzzle! And you get an achievement.
