Normal solution

Hints are given below when you expand the boxes.

Spoiler: Hint 1 (what to do)
This level is a variation on a spoke-and-axle maze. The best way to start is by heading straight to the northeast corner of the level, where you'll find a view-square that will give you a good view of the level.
Spoiler: Hint 2
You need to close the HOLE bridge, and the blocks you need are tucked among the spokes on the upper floor of the level. Luckily, the HOLE blockpads are all in a row, so you don't need to worry about pushing the blocks properly - you just need to get to them so you can smash them.
Spoiler: Hint 3
You will be flinging between different platforms, using spokes to catch yourself. You'll always begin by flinging yourself south from the northeast platform where the view-square is.Remember that you can die to reset the spokes, so you can't screw up here, and remember that you don't have to get all the blocks in one go - you can push them off and smash them one at a time. (The walkthrough on this page does it all in one go, but the individual hints will take the blocks one at a time.)
Spoiler: Hint 4 (a few tips)
As you might find out the hard way, blocks act as obstacles to spokes! You can't rotate a spoke with a block next to it. Plan to end up on the same side of the axle as the block when you go to push it off.
Spoiler: Hint 5
Remember that blocks can also be used as obstacles for flinging - it doesn't have to be the spoke or axle which catches you.
Spoiler: Hint 6
Try not to rotate any spokes you don't need to rotate. It's useful to plan your route with the view-square so you know which spokes have to stay horizontal or vertical so that they can catch you later.
Spoiler: Hint 7
To reach any of the HOLE blocks from the northeast, you always have to fling south through the railings, rotate the spokes you collide with so that you're south of them, and then fling south again. You'll end up on the same platform as the central axle in the western column of three axles. This is a key location.
Spoiler: Hint 8 (H)
The H platform is on the west side of a spoke in the northwest of the level. You will have to fling from either the platform to the south or the platform across the level to the east to reach it. But one of these options is impossible.
Spoiler: Hint 9
Wouldn't it be nice to fling west from near the start of the spoke maze? But then you'll end up on the wrong side of the spokes to the H, with no way of walking or flinging around to it. So you'll have to get to the H from the south.
Spoiler: Hint 10
The only way to get to the H from the south is to make your way west along the middle row of spokes.
Spoiler: Hint 11
If you can get to the key location in Hint 7, and head west across the level to the western side, you should be able to fling north into the H block and push it off the platform.
Spoiler: Hint 12 (O)
The O is in the southwest quarter of the level near the starting egg. Plan to reach the O from the north.
Spoiler: Hint 13
If you can reach the wrong side of the axle from the O, you can fling north, step a little to the west, and fling south again to get around the spokes.
Spoiler: Hint 14
From the key location in Hint 7, fling west, south and west to get on the right platform. Then you can step around the spokes as in Hint 13.
Spoiler: Hint 15 (L)
The L is in the southeast corner. Reaching it is rather similar to reaching the O.
Spoiler: Hint 16
In fact, it's almost the exact same route as getting to the O, except you fling east instead of west at a key point.
Spoiler: Hint 17
From the key location in Hint 7, fling west, south and east to get on the same platform as the L. Then you can get around the spokes to the L by flinging north (assuming you didn't rotate that spoke needlessly!), stepping east and flinging south.
Spoiler: Hint 18 (E)
The E is the trickiest block to get. It's in the northern part of the level, just a little south of the present. There's only one way you can reach the E's platform.
Spoiler: Hint 19
You have to fling north to the E. But there are no spokes near the E. So how will you stop on the E's platform?
Spoiler: Hint 20
You have to use the E itself as an obstacle to stop your fling. This makes the E more finicky than the other blocks - you have to fling on an exact north-south line to reach it. See if you can trace where that line is. (You won't be able to see the E when you have to fling to it, so locating a good landmark now will help.)
Spoiler: Hint 21
Your fling to the E will be in line with the axles in the second column of axles from the west. One of those axles was next to the O at the start of the level.
Spoiler: Hint 22
The route to the E is quite similar to the route to the O.
Spoiler: Hint 23
From the key location in Hint 7, fling west, south, west (to the same starting platform as the O) and north. Now you're next to an axle, and you need to fling from immediately and exactly north of it. (If it's lined up right, your northern fling will cross above the H blockpad.)
Spoiler: Hint 24 (finishing the level)
To beat this level, you need to get all four HOLE blocks on the ground floor.
Spoiler: Hint 25
No fancy tricks anymore. Just smash all the blocks to put them on their blockpads! That will be good enough to close the bridge to the exit.
Spoiler: Hint 26 (full solution)
This is probably the easiest way to take care of all the blocks in one visit. If you fall off or otherwise screw up, you might consider dying to reset the spokes and then referring to the above hints for individual blocks to get back on track.

Here's the most direct solution to the spoke maze:

  • Head to the platform in the northeast corner where the view-square is. Fling south through the railings. Keep pushing south through the spokes and flinging south until you hit the L, and push it south off the platform.
  • Push west through the spoke and fling west, so that you collide with the set of spokes that the O is on the other side of. Fling north, step west twice, and fling south to reach the O and push it off.
  • Fling north. Rotate the spokes here 180 degrees, so that you're standing directly north of the axle. Fling north from here to hit the E, then push it off.
  • Fling south back to the axle, then west. Step west twice, rotating the spokes, so that you're south of the H, then fling north and push it off.
  • Now that all blocks are on ground level, step off the spoke platforms and smash them all, rebirthing them on the HOLE blockpads and closing the bridge to the exit.

Present solution

Spoiler: Hint 1 (present location)
The present is west of the exit, across a WHOLE bridge.
Spoiler: Hint 2
Assuming you can spell HOLE to get to the exit, it would be nice if you could tack a W on to that. Can you get the W close?
Spoiler: Hint 3
There's not that many axles/spokes on the ground floor to manipulate. Try a few paths.
Spoiler: Hint 4
There's actually only three axles you need to turn, a quarter turn each. One of them is blocking the path of the W, and the other two will stop the W.
Spoiler: Hint 5
You might consider pushing the HOLE blocks to a better place as well as pushing the W.
Spoiler: Hint 6 (solution)
There's a lot of spoke-rotating to do here, but once it's done the whole WHOLE will come together quickly

Make HOLE as normal (or make HOLE later, I'm not your boss). Reset any axles on the ground floor.

  • Walk straight east from the W. Rotate the first axle you come across counterclockwise so it's facing N/E.
  • Continue walking east. Rotate the second axle counterclockwise so it's facing S/E (push it from the north side).
  • Walk north from there. Rotate the axle counterclockwise so it's facing S/W.
  • Push the HOLE blocks east as one mass, so that the E of HOLE is nestled between two grass squares to the north and south.

Now that your path is clear, return the W and push it east and north. It should stop on the end of a spoke on the third axle you rotated, right next to the H of HOLE.
