Normal solution

Hints are given below when you expand the boxes.

Spoiler: Hint 1 (getting started)
Probably the first thing to note here is that if you're getting confused by Plundy's advice... that's okay. Plundy isn't very good at block puzzles, it turns out. (It's up to you whether you want to take his advice anyway. He might be upset if you don't.)
Spoiler: Hint 2
The exit is in the southeast corner. Have a real careful look at what's up there near the exit, and what you need to do to get there. (By the way, you can step up and down a one-tile-high wall without needing stairs, if you haven't already noticed.)
Spoiler: Hint 3
In this level, you need to build the word ARE to close a gate that will catch you as you fling to the exit. The R and E are easily available to you, so focus on bringing the A into play.
Spoiler: Hint 4
The A shouldn't be pushed west, because it'll be stuck against the west wall and you'll find it very hard to push the R and E over to meet it. (Maybe not impossible, but there's a much easier way.)
Spoiler: Hint 5
Forming the RE gate to the north of the A would be perfect for catching it before it hits the spikes.
Spoiler: Hint 6
Making RE is simple enough. If you push both the R and E north off their blockpads, it should be clear how they go together.
Spoiler: Hint 7
Push the R and E north, then shove them into the corner to make RE easily

Make RE in the corner northeast of the platform where the M is. Now you can push the A north off its starting blockpad.

Spoiler: Hint 8 (making the gate)
Assuming you can rescue the A, you can make ARE. Where you can build this word will depend on where you can push the A, so experiment a little and see where the A wants to go.
Spoiler: Hint 9
The only helpful way to bring the A into play is to push it north from its blockpad, east, north, east and south so that it lands on the ground floor near the M. Where can it go from here which is also accessible to the R and E?
Spoiler: Hint 10
Perhaps it's helpful to experiment with the R too. Pushing the R north from its blockpad is not the only viable way you can start pushing it.
Spoiler: Hint 11
Try pushing the R east from its blockpad, so that it strikes a pillar south of the D block. How can you push it near the A from here?
Spoiler: Hint 12
Both the A and the R converge on a particular alcove in the level, which is also accessible to the E.
Spoiler: Hint 13
Just north-northeast of the E, on the ground level, there's a little two-tile-deep alcove. The A goes in there without much trouble. The R isn't too far away either...
Spoiler: Hint 14
The camera angle makes it difficult to see, but the dotted blocks drawn in this diagram show you where you can make ARE. (Not pictured: Plundy getting mad and flying off between screenshots)

From where the A lands in Hint 8, push it east, south and west to put it in the right alcove. The R can be bounced north and west from where it lands after Hint 10 to get most of the way there. The E should be obvious after you push it north and then east from its blockpad.

Spoiler: Hint 15 (reaching the exit)
Assuming you've made the right word and formed the gate near the exit, your last problem is getting there. You'll need to fling there from the northeast corner.
Spoiler: Hint 16
Having trouble getting into the northeast corner because it's too high up to step up there? You'll need to fling from near the level start.
Spoiler: Hint 17
Stand three tiles north of the E blockpad and fling east. That should get you there.
Spoiler: Hint 18
Having trouble flinging from the northwest to the southwest, and don't just want to trial-and-error it? There's a gap in the metal railings around the exit that you have to aim for.
Spoiler: Hint 19
The gap is in the third column from the eastern wall of the level.
Spoiler: Hint 20
Fling south from this point to reach the exit

On the high ledge from which you have to fling, there's a blue light just over the southern lip. That can be used as a marker. If you stand just north of that blue light and fling south, you should land by the exit (assuming you closed the gate!).

Spoiler: Hint 21 (full solution)
If you want diagrams for the following solution, check Hints 7, 14, and 20.

Push the R north. Push the E north, east and north. Push the R east to make RE. Push the A north, east, north, east, south, east, south and west (so that it's nestled in an alcove just north-ish of the E blockpad). Smash the R and E. Push the R east, north, west, north, west, south and west (to spell AR). Push the E north, east, south and west to spell ARE and close the gate by the exit. Fling across to the northeast corner, climb the stairs, and fling south to the exit (you'll need to line yourself up with a gap in the railings - there's a blue light on the ledge underneath where you need to fling from which is in line, so stand just north of that and fling).

Present solution

Spoiler: Hint 1 (present location)
The present is in the SW corner of the level, high up. There is a DREAM barrier that would help you get to it.
Spoiler: Hint 2
Note all the letters and barriers on the level, and which things they block.
Spoiler: Hint 3
You have the following tools to work with:
  • RE (west side): lets you get A.
  • EAR (north side): lets you get to M.
  • MARE (east side): lets you get to D.
  • REAM (east side): barrier on east wall.
  • ER (southeast side): barrier on south wall.
  • ARE (southeast side): barrier to access exit (not needed for present).
  • AE (south side): barrier on center island.
  • AM (south side): barrier on center island.
  • DREAM: (southwest side): barrier to present access.
Spoiler: Hint 4
Try making RE then EAR first.
Spoiler: Hint 5
EAR can be spelled along the east side of the level.
Spoiler: Hint 6
Retrieve the M. MARE can be spelled in the same place as EAR.
Spoiler: Hint 7
Retrieve the D. It has fairly limited places it can go.
Spoiler: Hint 8
Remember you can push blocks through bars.
Spoiler: Hint 9
That REAM barrier must be good for something, right?
Spoiler: Hint 10
Make DREAM along the east wall vertically, right below the REAM barrier.
Spoiler: Hint 11 (solution)
How to make EAR...
...then MARE...
...and finally DREAM
  • Make RE first (push E north, east, north into corner; push R north, east to corner).
  • Make EAR next (push A north into the RE barrier so it's safe for now. Smash RE blocks. Push R east, north, west, north, west, south, east so it's on the east wall a little north of the D block. Push A east, north, east, south, east, south, east making AR. Push E north, east, south, east to make EAR.)
  • Retrieve the M by flinging east into the EAR barrier from the raised platform near the NE corner (ie. stand between two patches of grass). Make MARE in the same way you did EAR: Push the M west, north (against pillar). Repeat the process you did for EAR except in in the order E, R, A, M making MARE (you might not need to repeat all of it if you are careful).
  • Retrieve the D by flinging south from the base of the stairs in NE. Push the D south, break the MARE barrier, then push D east (through the bars). Make REAM out of the letters then push the D south into the REAM barrier. Start making DREAM in the southeast corner:
    • Push M into the far SE corner.
    • Make ER then push the A into the SE corner (using ER as a backstop), making AM.
    • Smash the E block then push E south (against AM backstop), east, making EAM.
    • Smash the R block then push R south (against EA backstop), east, making REAM.
    • Push D south once to make DREAM.
  • And claim the present by climbing the stairs in the NE, fling west from the very top of the stairs to a small raised platform in the NW, then south to the present, using DREAM as a backstop.
  • If you followed Plundy's instructions at the start of the puzzle, you'll celebrate with him!

Extras

Spoiler: Achievements
There is 1 achievement available for this level:
  • Take Bad Advice: Follow a friend's useless instructions.
Spoiler: Hint 1
Follow Plundy's instructions for which block to push. Stand next to a block and he'll tell you yay or nay. He has a pretty think accent but negative responses will be along the lines of Nawnuh (no) or Uddablocka (other block); positive will be like Dazzablocka (that's the block) or Yez (yes). He'll pick 5 blocks for you to push (sometimes into spikes). Once you do 5 Plundy will let you do the rest of the puzzle on your own. If you don't push the blocks he wants eventually he'll get mad and fly off.
